You can track all political spending from RJ Reynolds here.
Altria (Philip Morris) has spent far more money trying to stop candidates who support strong tobacco control policies through independent expenditure committees than direct contributions to candidates. You can track all political spending from Altria here.
You will notice that the largest contributions from Altria are to JobsPAC, the California Chamber of Commerce's Independent Expenditure Committee. Altria was the largest contributor to JobsPAC in the last election cycle. We think it is unfortunate that the California Chamber of Commerce is giving cover for the tobacco companies to influence elections. You can track independent expenditures from JobsPAC here.
