American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network

Cancer Advocate,

Great news!

The U.S. House of Representatives passed our bill prohibiting flavored tobacco products.

This bill is a crucial step to ending the types of deadly products that Big Tobacco and the e-cigarette industry sell to attract kids and develop a new generation of lifelong addictions.

No more cotton candy e-cigarettes. No more menthol cigarettes. No more sweet-flavored mini-cigars. These products and more would all be prohibited.

This bill could not have passed without the incredible work of ACS CAN volunteers like you. Thank you to everyone who sent messages to lawmakers, made phone calls, shared our Facebook posts, and met with their members of Congress about this important legislation.

Now, the next challenge awaits as we must pass this bill through the U.S. Senate. We’ll be hunkering down in the coming weeks to develop a plan to do just that.

In the meantime, you can help us prepare for this next very challenging step. Becoming a member of ACS CAN will help us stand up to Big Tobacco, prevent kids from being tricked into a deadly smoking or e-cigarette addiction, and support our campaigns to save more lives from cancer.

Thank you for all of your great work on this campaign. And congratulations on helping us win this important U.S. House vote.
